Working Nights Tip: The Caffeine & Nap Combo


If you’re tired, your first thought might be to drink a caffeinated beverage. However, what most people don’t know is that it usually takes about 20-30 minutes for that caffeine to start working in your body. Therefore, caffeine is not an instant fix – a fact that is very important to remember if you’re experiencing fatigue while driving or performing some other safety sensitive task. Perhaps a better strategy for dealing with fatigue is the caffeine and nap combo. Here’s how it works. After having a cup of coffee, try taking a taking a brief 15-20 minute nap. (If you’re already
